Privacy notice
Draft of 14 October 2026. To be reviewed by counsel before the forms are switched on.
Who we are
Alga · Inventors Unleashed Central Asia & Caucasus is a programme, now in preparation, that helps young inventors in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Mongolia and the diaspora protect their inventions, build them and meet investors. Coordinating office: 5150 E Pacific Coast Hwy, 2nd Floor, Long Beach, CA 90804, USA (by appointment). Mailing address: 6285 E Spring St, #516, Long Beach, CA 90808, USA. Telephone: +1 510-902-8741.
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms: your name, country, contact details, age group, the name and description of your invention, and, for investors and partners, your organisation and interests. For nominations, we receive the details you provide about the person you nominate. We also record the language you used on the site.
Why we collect it
- To review your submission or registration and reply to you, including when submissions open in your country.
- To introduce your invention to investors or partners, only after you agree.
- To organise the Alga Prize and contact nominees.
Keeping inventions confidential
Submissions are private by default. Reviewers and investors who see an invention agree to confidentiality terms first, and nothing is published without the inventor's written consent. Please describe what your invention does, not the technical details of how it works, until we have discussed protection with you.
Participants under 18
Inventors aged 16 or 17 may take part only with the agreement of a parent or guardian. We do not publish information about participants under 18 without that agreement, and contact with investors is supervised.
Sharing and transfers
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with reviewers, mentors, patent professionals and investors involved in your application, with your agreement, and with service providers who process form submissions on our behalf. Because the programme is coordinated from the United States and works across several countries, your information may be processed outside your country; we do so in line with applicable data-protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep registrations until submissions open in your country, application records while you take part in the programme, and both for a reasonable period afterwards. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, by contacting us at the address or telephone number above.
